West Nile virus (WNV) infection is a mosquito-borne zoonosis. The virus is transmitted among birds via the bite of infected mosquitoes and incidentally humans and other mammals may become infected.
ECDC is now publishing the West Nile fever maps for the 2015 transmission season. As of 5 June, no West Nile fever cases have been reported in EU and neighboring countries.

TESSy is a system for the collection, analysis and dissemination of data on communicable diseases. EU Member States and EEA countries contribute to the system by uploading their infectious disease surveillance data at regular intervals
