The conference addressed long-term effectiveness HIV of drugs, co-infections with tuberculosis or viral hepatitis and other co-morbidities, and most inequitable access to care across Europe
On 14-15 January 2015 an ECDC consultation gathered public health experts, entomologists and epidemiologists from Europe, as well as experts from WHO, CDC and PacNet, to review the EU preparedness to dengue and chikungunya importation and onwards transmission and produce a roadmap towards improved EU preparedness.
The aims of the meeting were to enable sharing of experiences and good practices between member states, review ECDC’s current programme of work and to help determine future priorities for surveillance, prevention and control of the hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) across Europe.
From 18 to 25 November 2016, almost 500 organisations all across Europe hosted activities to increase awareness of the benefits of HIV and hepatitis testing.
On the third meeting of the Hepatitis B and C Network national focal points and experts discussed the enhanced surveillance programme for hepatitis B and C across Europe and explored ways of improving it.
The 6th Food- and Waterborne Diseases and Zoonoses network (FWD-Net) meeting focused on strengthening EU surveillance and response capacity as well as on hepatitis A as an emerging foodborne disease in the EU.
