The visit to Montenegro began on 29 February at the Public Health Institute, where a comprehensive agenda unfolded over two days. The team engaged in discussions, presentations, and site tours in different departments, and also met MediPIET fellows and alumni, supervisors, line managers, department heads and the institute director who provided valuable insights into the training site`s effectiveness and potential areas for enhancement.

Continuing their journey, the scientific coordinators arrived in Serbia on March 4, where they conducted their activities at the National Public Health Institute "Dr. Milan Jovanovic-Batut" in Belgrade. Similar to the Montenegro visit, the agenda was rich with presentations, meetings with MediPIET fellows, and discussions with supervisors, alumni, line managers, department heads and the institute director.

Both visits saw active participation from various stakeholders, including directors, national correspondents, focal points, supervisors, and fellows, fostering a holistic understanding of the program's dynamics.

The culmination of each visit involved sessions dedicated to providing feedback to the training sites, identifying strengths and outlining future steps for improvement and collaboration.

The discussions were further enriched by the participation of representatives from institutes beyond the hosting institutions, potential fellows, and colleagues interested in the program.

The site visits underscore the MediPIET programme’s commitment to continuous improvement. The insights gathered during these visits will inform strategic decisions and further strengthen the program's impact in the region.
