ECDC regularly assesses new evidence on variants detected through epidemic intelligence, rules-based genomic variant screening or other scientific sources.
An ECDC expert was in Zambia from 25 March to support in the response to the recent cholera outbreak as part of and funded by the ‘ECDC for Africa CDC’ project.
As the summer season is approaching, ECDC is hosting an online scientific seminar to raise awareness of vibriosis and it associated risks. The main target audience is the European Food- and Waterborne Diseases and Zoonoses Network but registration is open for anyone with an interest in the topic.
