They provide a timely summary and risk assessment of a public health threat for EU/EEA countries related to a specific event. They also include potential options for response. As outbreaks or public health events develop, ECDC may issue updated risk assessments.

All EU/EEA countries and the UK have experienced outbreaks among LTCF residents since August 2020.

The visit was carried out following the invitation from the competent authorities to assist them in the development and implementation of their national strategy for tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR) based on a 'One Health' approach.
