This workshop brought together experts on HIV monitoring and reporting from EU Member States, ECDC, the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA), the European Commission, UNAIDS, the World Health Organization and the Civil Society Forum.
The second ECDC advisory group meeting will discuss progress and future challenges in reporting and monitoring following the commitment outlined in the Dublin Declaration.

The appearance of West Nile virus in New York in 1999 and the unprecedented panzootic that followed, have stimulated a major research effort in the western hemisphere and a new interest in the presence of this virus in the Old World. This review considers current understanding of the natural history of this pathogen, with particular regard to transmission in Europe.
