Tularaemia - Annual Epidemiological Report for 2015

10 Feb 2021 - For 2019, 21 countries in the EU/EEA reported 1 463 confirmed cases of tularaemia.

12 Nov 2019 - For 2018, 18 countries in the EU/EEA reported 441 cases of tularaemia, 358 (81%) of which were confirmed. The EU/EEA notification rate for 2018 was 0.07 cases per 100 000 population. The male-to-female ratio was 1.7:1. As in previous years, the notification rate among males was higher in most age groups except for the age groups between 5 and 24 years. Notification rates increased with age and peaked at 45–64 years.

15 Jul 2019 - For 2017, 447 cases of tularaemia were reported by 18 countries in the EU/EEA, 413 (92%) of which were confirmed. As in previous years, the proportion of cases among males was higher in all age groups, with a male-to-female ratio of 2.1:1. Notification rates in men and women increased with age (except for the age group ≥65 years). The highest rate was observed in men in the age group 45–64 years (0.2 cases per 100 000 population).

22 Jan 2019 - For 2016, 1 148 cases of tularaemia were reported in the EU/EEA, 1 096 (95%) of which were confirmed.

31 Aug 2016 - In 2014, 28 EU/EEA countries provided information on tularaemia in humans.
