West Nile fever in Europe in 2017; updated 15 September

Between 7 September and 14 September 2017, Serbia reported nine cases and Hungary reported one case. All cases were reported in previously affected areas. Greece reported one death due to West Nile fever of a previously reported case. In addition, Italy has reported eight West Nile fever equine cases and Hungary and Greece both reported one equine case through the Animal Disease Notification System (ADNS) of the European Commission.
