Core competencies of ECDC training programmes and instructional design

ECDC coordinates the development of Core Competencies (also known as competency frameworks) through comprehensive consultative processes, to define the minimum requirements for professionals to perform effectively in relevant fields of our mandate.

Curriculum design and development of training materials of ECDC training programmes and activities are normally based on these core competencies.

ECDC invites counterparts involved in capacity building to use these frameworks as reference when designing training or conducting training needs assessments.

They may also help employers when developing vacancy notices or job descriptions and for career development.
