Core competencies of ECDC training programmes and instructional design
ECDC develops partnerships with national and international public health organisations to provide applied, competency based training activities to professionals at national and community levels.
The organisation has developed lists of Core Competencies with indicators that define the minimum requirements, in terms of these competencies, that public health workers are expected to have at the beginning and end of training. These documents, therefore, define the competencies that are a suggested minimum prerequisite for all professionals in these fields. Curriculum design and development of training materials are based on these core competencies. The following have been developed:
