24 Apr 2024 - For 2022, 6 131 malaria cases were reported in the EU/EEA, all of which were confirmed.

22 Jun 2023 - For 2021, 4 856 malaria cases were reported in the EU/EEA, 4 855 (> 99%) of which were confirmed.

30 Apr 2020 - For 2018, 8 349 malaria cases were reported in the EU/EEA, 8 347 (> 99%) of which were confirmed.

25 Jul 2019 - For 2017, 8 401 cases were reported in the EU/EEA, 8 393 (99.9%) of which were confirmed. Twenty-one confirmed cases were reported as acquired in the EU.

28 Feb 2019 - For 2016, 8 231 cases were reported in the EU/EEA. Among 7 485 cases with known importation status, 99.8% were travel-related.
