Since 31 December 2019 and as of 28 February 2020, 83 396 cases of COVID-19 (in accordance with the applied case definitions in the affected countries) have been reported. As of 28 February 2020, 2 858 deaths have been reported from China (2 789), Hong Kong (2), Iran (26), South Korea (13), Italy (17), on an international conveyance (Japan) (4), Taiwan (1), the Philippines (1), Japan (3) and France (2).
