This Policy is setting out the rules and procedures for the staff members of the ECDC to comply with the obligations laid down by the Founding Regulation regarding independence and the prevention of conflict of interests.
Revised Independence Policy for Non-Staff
This policy applies to members and alternates of the ECDC Management Board (MB) and Advisory Forum (AF), other individuals working on behalf of ECDC, including interims, as well as contractors and external experts participating in activities in which their evidence, expert opinion and advice may influence the scientific position of ECDC, regardless of their official job title or function.

The following guidelines apply to the traineeship programme of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). This scheme primarily targets recent university graduates who are at the beginning of a new professional career.
