Review of ECDC’s response to the influenza pandemic 2009/10
This report presents the final conclusions from an evaluation of ECDC’s response to the 2009 influenza pandemic. The evaluation was undertaken by an external panel of experts with extensive experience in communicable disease control, crisis management, and influenza programmes. They considered ECDC’s performance in the areas of crisis management, surveillance, scientific advice and communication.
Evaluation of ECDC Ebola deployment in Guinea
The aim of this evaluation was to review the implementation, determine the lessons learnt and formulate recommendations to strengthen ECDC’s capacity to mobilise experts for field deployment to support future outbreak response initiatives, both in and outside the EU.
Third external evaluation of ECDC (2013-2017)
The third external evaluation of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) was initiated in 2018, in line with the requirements of the Centre’s Founding Regulation. The final report is now published together with the conclusions and recommendations of the Management Board.
First external evaluation of ECDC (2005-2007)
The external evaluation of the Centre is enshrined in Article 31 of the Founding Regulation (EC) 851/2004 of 21 April 2004. In keeping with the requirements, the Centre has commissioned this external evaluation that covers the period from the Centre’s inception (May 2005) until June 2007.
Second external evaluation of ECDC (2008-2012)
This exercise is the second mandatory external evaluation of the Centre since its establishment and covers the activities carried out between 2008 (when the implementation of the ECDC’s Strategic Multi-annual Programme 2007-2013 started) until the end of 2012.
