As of week 37, 2022, ECDC is discontinuing collection and publication of the number of subnational COVID-19 cases reported by EU/EEA countries.

The downloadable data file contains information on the 14-day notification rate of newly reported COVID-19 cases per 100 000 population by week and subnational region up to week 36, 2022. Each row contains the corresponding data for a certain week and subnational region.

Please note that daily data on cases per subnational region were also published up to week 36, 2022 for selected countries at the page 'Download data on the daily subnational 14-day notification rate of new COVID-19 cases'. There may be differences between the rates shown in these two datasets since they are based on different sources of data.
