Thirty EU/EEA countries reported 58 994 TB cases, 11.4 cases per 100 000 population. The overall notification rate and most country-specific rates continued their longstanding declining trend, but annual rates of decline remained mostly too low to reach the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal target of an 80% reduction in TB incidence by 2030 compared with 2015.
