ECDC risk assessment: 2009 influenza A(H1N1) pandemic (Update 17 December 2009)
This update of the ECDC pandemic risk assessment for Europe is based on data and analyses available in early December 2009. It draws on the experience in European countries, North America and the Southern Hemisphere’s temperate countries, which have already passed through a winter with the new virus. This description deals with the infection and the disease. Specifically, it does not include comments on the pharmaceutical countermeasures, nor their likely effectiveness and safety. These are dealt with separately in dedicated ECDC documents.
Rapid Risk Assessment: Cluster of pneumonia cases caused by a novel coronavirus, Wuhan, China, 2020
17 Jan 2020 - A novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) has been isolated and considered the causative agent of the cluster of 41 pneumonia cases in the area of Wuhan, Hubei province in China, as well as of the three travel-related cases in Thailand and Japan, arriving from Wuhan.

18 Dec 2019 - Between 1st February and 26th November 2019, 199 cases of Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase (KPC)-producing carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales (KPC-CRE) have been detected in Lithuania.
