MPXV clade I infections have increased in the DRC since November 2023, and also been reported in additional African countries. Two imported cases have been detected in Sweden and Thailand.
The expected seasonal increase in West Nile virus infections in Europe was observed in July, indicating that the transmission season is well under way.
