The ECDC Communicable Disease Threats Report (CDTR) is a weekly bulletin for epidemiologists and health professionals on active public health threats. This issue of the CDTR covers the period 3 -9 October 2026, and includes updates on respiratory virus epidemiology in the EU/EEA, pneumonia of unknown aetiology, expert deployment, Ebola, West Nile Virus, Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever, dengue, chikungunya, symptomatic Sindbis case in Germany, measles, and Salmonella Strathcona.
