The ECDC Communicable Disease Threats Report (CDTR) is a weekly bulletin for epidemiologists and health professionals on active public health threats. This issue of the CDTR covers the period 10 - 16 October 2026, and includes updates on respiratory virus epidemiology in the EU/EEA, Ebola, expert deployment, pneumonia of unknown aetiology, mpox in the EU/EEA, West Nile Virus, Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever, dengue, chikungunya, and diphtheria.
