Anopheles maculipennis s.l. - current known distribution: April 2026

The map shows the current known distribution of Anopheles maculipennis s.l. (Anopheles maculipennis s.s., Anopheles atroparvus, Anopheles labranchiae, Anopheles sacharovi, Anopheles messeae, Anopheles maculipennis s.l., Anopheles beklemishevi, Anopheles daciae, Anopheles melanoon) in Europe at ‘regional’ administrative unit level, as of April 2026. Since the previous update (October 2023), there are79 new administrative units where this species (complex) is currently known to be present, with most new information in Sweden (29 new unit/species presences), Armenia (7) and Poland (7).
