This technical report is a laboratory manual that accompanies the ‘Survey protocol for the ECDC genomic-based surveillance of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii in Europe’. The survey protocol contains a detailed description of the survey, objectives and sampling frame.
This document is intended for those who may implement, or participate in, an ECDC survey to collect carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAb) specimens and patient metadata from acute care hospitals, especially those working in clinical laboratories, including reference laboratories.
