Culex pipiens group - current known distribution: April 2026

The map shows the current known distribution of the Culex pipiens group (Culex pipiens and Culex torrentium) in Europe at ‘regional’ administrative unit level, as of April 2026. Since the previous update (October 2023), there are 97 new administrative units where this species group is currently known to be present, with most new information in Poland (24 new unit/species presences), Türkiye (16) and Greece (14).
