The ECDC Communicable Disease Threats Report (CDTR) is a weekly bulletin for epidemiologists and health professionals on active public health threats. This issue of the CDTR covers the period 3-9 March 2024, and includes updates on SARS-CoV-2 variant classification, sexually transmitted infections, Psittacosis cases, product safety recall of InterPharma Sodium Chloride 0.9% 30ml linked to Ralstonia pickettii contamination, cholera and Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV).
