Thirty countries, including all EU Member States and two EEA countries (Iceland and Norway) reported antimicrobial consumption for the community, i.e. outside hospitals, and 23 countries reported data for the hospital sector in 2015.

18 Nov 2019 - In 2018, the average total consumption (community and hospital sector combined) of antibacterials for systemic use (ATC group J01) in the EU/EEA was 20.1 DDD per 1 000 inhabitants per day (country range: 9.7–34.0). During the period 2009–2018, no statistically significant change was observed for the EU/EEA overall.
Smallpox - Annual Epidemiological Report for 2018
13 Nov 2019 - Smallpox was declared eradicated in 1980. There were no reports of confirmed or possible smallpox in the EU/EEA or other countries for 2018.
Tularaemia Annual Epidemiological Report for 2018
12 Nov 2019 - For 2018, 18 countries in the EU/EEA reported 441 cases of tularaemia, 358 (81%) of which were confirmed. The EU/EEA notification rate for 2018 was 0.07 cases per 100 000 population. The male-to-female ratio was 1.7:1. As in previous years, the notification rate among males was higher in most age groups except for the age groups between 5 and 24 years. Notification rates increased with age and peaked at 45–64 years.
