Strategies and guidelines on seasonal influenza

This document provides guidance for the routine surveillance of respiratory viruses in the European Union/European Economic Area (EU/EEA), including influenza viruses, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). It sets out action-oriented respiratory virus surveillance objectives, outlines the epidemiological and virological surveillance systems needed to meet these objectives, and explains how surveillance data can support national and EU-level prevention and control measures.
