Aedes aegypti - current known distribution: April 2026

The map shows the current known distribution of Aedes aegypti in Europe at ‘regional’ administrative unit level, as of April 2026. Since the previous update (June 2025), an introduction has been reported in Luxembourg.
In the EU/EEA, Aedes aegypti is known to be established in Cyprus, as well as in the Outermost Regions French Guiana (FR), Guadeloupe (FR), Madeira (PT), Martinique (FR), Mayotte (FR), and Réunion (FR).
