Aedes aegypti - current known distribution: June 2025

Since the previous update (May 2024), there was a change in two regions in Egypt.

The map shows the current known distribution of Aedes aegypti in Europe at ‘regional’ administrative level, as of June 2025. Since the previous update (May 2024), the mosquito has been recorded as established in two regions in Egypt.

In the EU/EEA*, Aedes aegypti is known to be established in 1 region (in Cyprus).
