Webinar - The epidemiological situation of autochthonous cases of Aedes-borne diseases in Europe and introduction of the public health guidance
Recently the first locally acquired chikungunya virus disease cases has been reported in the continental EU, which indicates that the transmission season for Aedes borne diseases has started.

The ECDC output “Public health guidance to support the assessment and mitigation of the risk of locally-acquired Aedes-borne viral diseases in the EU/EEA” is under editing and expected to be published in the coming weeks.
The webinar will cover the following topics:
- Update on the epidemiological situation of autochthonous cases of Aedes-borne diseases in Europe in 2025.
- Introduction of the public health guidance.
