A guide to EU Reference Laboratories for Public Health
This document provides an overview of the newly established EU Reference Laboratories for Public Health (EURLs), their core tasks and services, and the stakeholders involved, with the aim of supporting Member State laboratories in accessing and benefiting from the services available.
The roles and responsibilities of the primary stakeholders regarding EURLs are described in Table 1. Importantly, this does not change the roles of officially nominated national ECDC contact points in the ECDC Coordinating Competent Bodies: Structures, Interactions and Terms of Reference document, whose content always takes precedence.
