COVID-19 vaccination coverage in the EU/EEA during the 2025–26 season campaigns

This report presents a description of COVID-19 vaccine coverage in the EU/EEA between 1 August 2025 and 27 March 2026, with some variation in reporting dates between countries.

Key facts

During the reporting period, 19/30 EU/EEA countries reported data on COVID-19 vaccination coverage for at least one target group (people aged 60 years and above, people aged 80 years and above, healthcare workers, people with chronic conditions, pregnant women and others). During this period, approximately 13.9 million people aged 60 years and above received one COVID-19vaccine dose in the EU/EEA. Of these, approximately 4.6 million were aged 80 years and above. The median COVID-19 vaccination coverage among people aged 60 years and above was 6.4%(range: 0.2–60.7%), with high variation among countries. Similarly, for people aged 80 years and above, the median coverage was 11.4% (range: 0.4–85.3%), with high variation among countries. Among the 19 reporting countries, one had a vaccination coverage of ≥50% for the age group 60 years and above, while six countries reported a vaccination coverage of ≥50% for the age group 80 years and above.
