ESCAIDE call for abstracts open until 18 May

Get the chance to share your research, insights and experiences with the public health community in Europe and beyond by submitting your work to the call for abstracts for the 2026 edition of the European Scientific Conference on Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology (ESCAIDE 2026), which is now open. The deadline for submissions is 18 May (23:59 CEST). 

Submitting your abstract to ESCAIDE gives you the opportunity to present your work to a diverse audience of public health professionals. ESCAIDE is a space to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and contribute to knowledge that can have real impact on public health practice.  

Organised annually by ECDC, ESCAIDE is Europe’s leading public health conference dedicated to sharing knowledge on infectious disease epidemiology, public health microbiology, and related scientific fields. The 2026 conference will take place on 18–20 November, in Stockholm and online, making it accessible to participants around the world. 

ESCAIDE 2026 welcomes abstracts in all areas related to infectious diseases and public health,  including epidemiology, microbiology, virology, immunology, social sciences, science communication, the application of tools and methods to support infectious disease interventions, and much more. 

Abstracts must be submitted via the online platform by 18 May, and notifications of acceptance or rejection will be sent by 30 June. If you are just finishing your research and your findings will only be available later, a second call for late breaker abstracts will be held between 9 and 23 September 2026. 

 Funding opportunities are available for eligible abstract presenters to attend the conference in person.  

Participating in and registering for ESCAIDE 2026 is free of charge, and updates on the registration deadlines can be found on the ESCAIDE website.
