Communicable disease threats report, 4-10 January 2025, week 2

The ECDC Communicable Disease Threats Report (CDTR) is a weekly bulletin for epidemiologists and health professionals on active public health threats. This issue of the CDTR covers the period 4 - 10 January 2025 and includes updates on respiratory virus epidemiology in the EU/EEA, measles, mpox clades I and II, Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV), respiratory viral infections in China, and avian influenza A(H5N1).
