Third Joint Workshop on AMR in Salmonella and Campylobacter
This workshop on AMR in Salmonella and Campylobacter was arranged in cooperation with the FWD Network and the EU reference laboratory for antimicrobial resistance network.
The meeting was hosted by Statens Serum Institut in Copenhagen and offered a mix of joint and separate sessions for the two networks with presentations, group work and a social event to increase the collaboration between the sectors. Sessions included testing and reporting of ESBL- and carbapenemase-producing Salmonella, results from the 2nd AST EQA scheme, experience of using Whole Genome Sequencing for monitoring of AMR, resistance plasmids, the latest on colistin testing, updates from the EU agencies and more. One participant was invited from each EU/EEA country and the candidate and potential candidate countries, from each sector.

1st Hepatitis E virus network (HEVnet) meeting
26 Oct 2017 to 27 Oct 2017 - The key objective of this meeting was to verify the rationale and objectives of molecular typing for surveillance of hepatitis E virus (HEV) through the hepatitis E network (HEVnet). The workshop reviewed HEVnet as a tool for molecular surveillance of HEV in Europe.
