European Antibiotic Awareness Day 2013 – #EAAD Joint Twitter chat
Experts from ECDC, the Directorate-General (DG) for Health and Consumers and the DG for Research and Innovation of the European Commission, and the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe held a live Twitter chat to answer questions on antibiotic consumption and antibiotic resistance on Monday 18 November 2013, 13:00-14:30 CET.

On the same day, from 07:00 to 21:00 CET, ECDC organized an “extended Twitter conversation” with our partners from the US (@CDCgov), Australia (@NPSMedicinewise) and Canada (@NCC_NCCID). Experts from our partner institutions answered questions on antibiotic use and resistance: to post queries and comments use #EAAD.

Training course on control of multidrug-resistant micro-organisms in health care settings
17 Sep 2019 to 19 Sep 2019 - ECDC is organising a short course on “Control of multidrug-resistant micro-organisms (MDROs) in health care settings”. This training opportunity is addressed at healthcare professionals from European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) countries with current or future responsibility for the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) due to MDROs working at national or local level. The course is offered by invitation only and participants are identified through the ECDC Coordinating Competent Bodies.
