ECDC welcomes ENVI delegation visit

A delegation from the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, ENVI, of the European Parliament visited ECDC in order to learn more about of our Agency’s role and activities, and to discuss some priority areas within infectious disease prevention and control.

In addition to Members of the European Parliament and their colleagues from the ENVI Secretariat, representatives in ECDC’s Management Board for the European Parliament also participated in this visit.

The delegation met with the ECDC Senior Management Team as well as with ECDC experts on specific disease areas.

The visit was the 5th of its kind; and was the first for the current Members of European Parliament, elected for a five-year parliamentary term, 2014-2019.

Previous visits to ECDC took place in 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2013.
