West Nile virus in Europe in 2019 - infections among humans and outbreaks among equids and/or birds, updated 18 October

Between 11 and 17 October 2019, EU Member States reported four human cases in Greece (2) and Italy (2). In the same week, five outbreaks among equids were reported to the Animal Disease Notification System (ADNS) by Germany (3), France (1) and Greece (1).
