Tuberculosis surveillance in Europe 1998
The WHO TB surveillance report presents and analyses data collected for 1998 in the European Union, European Economic Area and the additional 24 countries of the WHO European Region. The report was published in 2000 by the European surveillance network EuroTB. The EuroTB project was set up in 1996 to develop and coordinate a European network of national tuberculosis surveillance institutions in the 53 countries of the WHO European Region. The project was financially supported by the European Commission until the end of 2007. From January 2008 onwards ECDC and WHO/EURO jointly assumed the coordination of the activities of EuroTB.
Influenza virus characterisation, December 2019
16 Jan 2020 - This is the third report for the 2019–20 influenza season. As of week 1/2020, 42 844 influenza detections had been reported across the WHO European Region; 85% type A viruses, with A(H3N2) prevailing over A(H1N1)pdm09, and 15% type B viruses, with 531 (92%) of 576 ascribed to a B/Victoria lineage.
