Webinar on social and behavioural science in action - shaping public health strategies for infectious disease prevention
In this webinar, we will discuss how behavioural science can help in developing people-centred public health strategies.
Wednesday 25 September 14:00-15:30 CEST
Join Kim L. Lavoie, Professor and Canada Research Chair in Behavioural Medicine at the UQAM, Université du Québec à Montréal and Hannah Nohlen, Social Psychologist and Behaviour Scientist at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre’s Competence Centre on Behavioural Insights, to discuss and explore:
- how behavioural science can help in developing people-centred public health strategies;
- the application of scientific models and methods for collecting data and designing interventions;
- real-world studies on the impact of these approaches;
- the critical role of community engagement and co-creation in effective public health interventions.
The webinar is organised by the ECDC Prevention and Behaviour Change team and integrates the learning pillar of the Community of Practice in social and behavioural science for professionals working in infectious disease prevention, launching in November 2024.
