Exchange of views on the Ebola crisis, European Parliament Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety
ECDC Director Marc Sprenger addressed MEPs of the European Parliament’s Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety regarding the ongoing Ebola virus disease outbreak in West Africa.
ECDC Director Marc Sprenger provided an overview of the risks to Europe, as detailed in ECDC’s rapid risk assessments, and the technical support ECDC was giving to the European Commission and Member States. Other speakers for the exchange of views included Guido Rasi, Executive Director, European Medicines Agency and Zsuzsanna Jakab, WHO Regional Director for Europe.
