ECDC-WHO/Europe programmes’ coordination meeting

This working meeting covered a broad range of topics, from guiding principles to collaboration within specific disease areas and across public health functions.
WHO Regional Office for Europe and ECDC collaborate closely on surveillance, prevention and control, risk assessment, and health emergencies in the area of communicable diseases. Assisted by a joint technical Coordination Group, both organisations coordinate their work on regular basis to ensure synergy and complementarity in the implementation of activities. On 17-18 November 2016, senior staff from both organisations will meet in the WHO/Europe office in Copenhagen to review past collaboration, exchange information on future plans, and plan joint activities for 2017.
