ECDC training workshop ‘Methods and tools for evidence based public health’

Event
ECDC offered introductory courses in methods and tools for evidence-based public health with the aim of building capacity in the Centre and among its stakeholders.

The course was offered to ECDC staff and ECDC stakeholders from non-profit, governmental public health authorities at national and regional level in EU/EEA countries. It was especially recommended for professionals involved in the development and provision of evidence reviews, risk assessments, and public health guidelines/guidance. No advanced knowledge in evidence-based methods was required.

The training workshops were delivered in English and carried out as residential face-to-face courses over four consecutive days from 9 am to 5 pm.

ECDC selected participants through official invitation letters, sent to the Coordinating Competent Bodies of the EU/EEA countries. The National Focal points for Scientific Advice and the National Focal Points for Public Health Training have been informed.
