5th Food- and Waterborne Diseases and Zoonoses Network Meeting

The 5th Annual Food and Water-borne Diseases and Zoonoses (FWD) Network Meeting pulled together epidemiologists and microbiologists from EU, EEA and some non-EU countries.
2013, the meeting focused on cross-border outbreak investigations and related joint ECDC-EFSA risk assessments, molecular typing data collection, the impact of culture-independent methods on surveillance, quality aspects in molecular typing (PFGE and MLVA), and antimicrobial resistance.
The first day was a joint day with EFSA Task Force for zoonoses data.
