Measles

Measles is a serious and highly contagious viral disease. Symptoms of measles usually appear within 10-12 days of infection and can lead to complications and death.

The initial symptoms are:

  • runny nose

  • cough

  • mild fever 

  • reddening of the eyes and sensitivity to light

In addition, between the third and the seventh day, the following symptoms may appear:

  • fever of up to 41 ⁰C

  • a red rash appears on the face, which lasts 4-7 days, and then spreads over the whole body

  • small white spots on the gums and inside the cheeks.
