With a spirit of lifelong learning, ECDC offers professional development for communicable disease prevention and control professionals with responsibility for serious cross-border health threats.

Training tools and documents

ECDC provides tools for online training in disease prevention and control, such as the FEM wiki and the ECDC Virtual Academy

Core competencies

ECDC develops partnerships with national and international public health organisations to provide applied, competency based training activities to professionals at national and community levels.

Evaluation and accreditation

ECDC applies for accreditation of short courses and scientific seminars under UEMS/EACCME. The Summer school is accredited under APHEA.
