Joint WHO/Europe–ECDC Annual European Influenza Surveillance Meeting, 2018
The joint annual influenza surveillance meeting by ECDC and the WHO Regional Office for Europe took place on 6 - 8 June 2018 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Invited participants were epidemiological and virological surveillance experts nominated by national health authorities as well as representatives from international institutions, covering the 53 countries of the EU/EEA and the WHO European region. The meeting was by invitation only.

Influenza virus characterisation, Summary Europe, March 2018
The ECDC Influenza Virus Characterisations Reports are published periodically and provides an overview of the technical details of the circulating influenza viruses, such as antigenic and genetic properties, with a reference to the current vaccine strains. It also summaries the developments of the viruses since the last report, as well as the main developments for the ongoing season.

Weekly influenza update, week 20, May 2018
ECDC and WHO Europe monitors influenza activity in the WHO Europe region during the winter season and publishes weekly reports on the Flu News Europe website. This is the last weekly report of the influenza season 2017-18. During the summer, influenza reports will be provided on a monthly basis and published on 29 June, 3 August, 7 September and 5 October. The weekly reporting of influenza surveillance data will resume on 12 October 2018 for the 2018-19 season.
