ECDC country visit to Malta to discuss antimicrobial resistance issues, 3-7 July 2017
The ECDC and the European Commission's Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety, at the invitation of the Maltese authorities, jointly carried out a country visit from 3 to 7 July 2017. The overall aim of the visit was to assist them in the further development and implementation of their national policies and strategies for tackling antimicrobial resistance based on a One Health perspective.

Fast-track the end of AIDS in the EU - practical evidence-based interventions
As one of the Maltese Presidency of the European Union of the Council initiatives, a technical meeting brought together leading experts on HIV prevention and control from across the EU to discuss how Europe could improve its response to HIV and achieve the targets outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals, the actions agreed at the UN High-Level meeting on HIV/AIDS and those adopted in the Global Health Sector Strategy at the World Health Assembly.
ECDC expert visit to Malta: conclusions and recommendations
A team of experts from ECDC and four EU countries (France, Italy, Portugal and Spain) visited Malta from 3 to 6 July 2016 and met with staff from the Ministry of Health and key stakeholders in Malta to discuss preparedness planning for mosquito-borne diseases.
