This is an update to the joint rapid risk assessment published on 6 July 2012 by ECDC and EMCDDA on anthrax cases among injecting drug users in Germany. This is in response to further cases in France and Denmark. It contains information updated up to the 13 July 2012.
Joint ECDC-EFSA assessment - Outbreak of hepatitis A virus infection in four Nordic countries
Between 1 October 2012 and 8 April 2013, 16 confirmed cases of hepatitis A virus (HAV) infections with subgenotype IB and identical RNA sequence were reported in four Nordic countries.
Rapid risk assessment: Cutaneous diphtheria among recently arrived refugees and asylum-seekers in the EU, 31 July 2015
This rapid risk assessment concludes that there is currently no indication that these cases represent a significant outbreak of diphtheria among refugees in Europe.
Rapid risk assessment: Multi-country outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis phagetype 8, MLVA type 2-9-7-3-2 infections. 6 September 2016
A multi-country outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis phage type (PT) 8 with multiple locus variable-number tandem repeat analysis (MLVA) profile 2-9-7-3-2 has been ongoing in the EU/EEA since at least July 2015. Since May 2016, 16 confirmed and 132 probable cases have been reported to ECDC by six EU/EEA countries.

Epidemiological update: outbreak of hepatitis A virus infection in four Nordic countries
As of 6 August 2013, the Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish public health institutes reported 106 cases associated with the hepatitis A virus (HAV) infection outbreak affecting their countries since 1 October 2012. Of these, 64 were confirmed and 42 were probable.
Epidemiological update: Measles - monitoring European outbreaks, 6 April 2017
In Europe, measles cases have been reported in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Sweden as well as in Romania, where 4 025 cases have been reported as of 31 March 2017.
