WHO: Action plan for the health sector response to viral hepatitis in the WHO European Region
This first Action plan for viral hepatitis in the WHO European Region adapts the Global health sector strategy on viral hepatitis, 2016–2021 to the context of the European Region. The goal of the Action plan is elimination of viral hepatitis as a public health threat in the WHO European Region by 2030 through the reduction of transmission, morbidity and mortality due to viral hepatitis and its complications, and by ensuring equitable access to comprehensive prevention, recommended testing, care and treatment services for all.

In September 2014, ECDC performed a rapid consultation among the 31 EU/EEA countries to mainly collect information on HAV genotyping practices through the National Focal Points for food- and waterborne diseases and zoonoses.
European Testing Week
European Testing Week is an European campaign that encourages partner organisations — in community, health care and policy institutions — throughout Europe to unite for one week twice a year to increase testing efforts and promote awareness on the benefits of earlier hepatitis and HIV testing.
