Measles - Annual Epidemiological Report for 2018
In 2018, 17 822 cases of measles were reported by 29 EU/EEA Member States. The overall notification rate was 34.4 cases per 1 000 000 population, similar to that reported in 2017 (35.5 cases) but much higher than the rates in 2014–2016 (7.1–9.0).

An overview of the rapid test situation for COVID-19 diagnosis in the EU/EEA
According to EU recommendations, timely and accurate COVID-19 laboratory testing is an essential part of the management of COVID-19 for slowing down the pandemic, supporting decisions on infection control strategies and patient management at healthcare facilities, and detecting asymptomatic cases that could spread the virus further if not isolated.
Avian influenza overview November 2019 – February 2020
Between 16 November 2019 and 15 February 2020, 36 highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) A(H5N8) virus outbreaks were reported in Europe in poultry (n=34), captive birds (n=1) and wild birds (n=2), in Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Germany, Czechia and Ukraine, one HPAI outbreak caused by a simultaneous infection with A(H5N2) and A(H5N8) was reported in poultry in Bulgaria, and two low pathogenic avian influenza (LPAI) A(H5) virus outbreaks were reported in poultry in the United Kingdom and in Denmark.
Algorithm for the management of contacts of probable or confirmed COVID-19 cases
This algorithm shows the main actions for contacts of probable or confirmed COVID-19 cases. Implementation may be modified depending on the risk assessment for individual cases and their contacts by public health authorities.
