For the first time, ECDC and the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) jointly organised a capacity-building workshop to discuss the challenges of incorporating emergency risk communication in all aspects of public health emergency preparedness planning. The workshop ‘How can we be better prepared for the next global health threat - Planning and implementing emergency risk communication’ took place 7-8 September in Stockholm and convened over 60 public health experts from Asian and EU/EEA countries.​
